Breast Augmentation

The reasons for getting breast augmentation vary for each person. Some may have small or flat breasts and want to enhance them for a fuller look, some have asymmetrical breasts, and others may experience sagging after breastfeeding. All of these issues can be improved through breast augmentation. The choice of surgical technique and implant material also varies, and should always be determined by a qualified, experienced plastic surgeon.

Factors for Achieving the Most Beautiful Breast Augmentation Results

  1. Individual patient factors
Each patient’s needs are different—some prefer larger breasts, some want a moderate size, and some want a smaller, subtle look. The surgeon will discuss your goals, examine your breast shape, assess your body proportions, and evaluate skin laxity to ensure all factors align before planning the most suitable augmentation approach.

  2. Surgical techniques
Each surgeon has their own expertise—this includes implant placement techniques, incision location, surgical approach, and wound closure methods.
The preferred method here is the Hybrid Dual Plane technique, involving:

    • A small incision

    • Continuous blood control during surgery

    • Use of a breast funnel to insert the implant

    • Closing with medical-grade adhesive for minimal scarring

Bloodless Technique

  • Minimal bleeding — no surgical drains required

  • The incision is made using an electrocautery device that cuts and stops bleeding simultaneously, preventing internal bleeding and bruising.

  • Results in less pain, swelling, and a shorter recovery period.

  • No drains are needed.

  • Small incision of only 2–3 cm at the breast crease.

Breast Funnel Technique

  • Instead of inserting the implant by hand, a sterile medical funnel is used.

  • This method reduces tissue trauma, allows for smaller incisions, and lowers the risk of infection and inflammation.

What to Know Before Breast Augmentation

Implant Options

  • Sizes range from under 200 cc to over 500 cc, depending on breast base width and patient preference.

  • Shapes include round and teardrop—the choice depends on desired aesthetics.

Implant Placement

  • Above the muscle – suitable for patients with enough natural breast tissue.

  • Under the muscle – suitable for patients with minimal breast tissue.

  • Dual-plane placement (between muscle layers) is often recommended for the most natural look and optimal results.

Augmentation Methods

  1. Silicone Implant Augmentation (Breast Augmentation)

    • Involves inserting silicone implants to increase breast size by several cup sizes in one procedure.

    • Best to choose an implant size that suits the body to avoid visible implant edges.

    • Results in a fuller, rounder bust—ideal for a glamorous or model-like look.

  2. Fat Transfer Breast Augmentation (Fat Grafting)

    • Uses excess fat from the patient’s own body, extracted with a body-jet water-assisted liposuction device.

    • Only high-quality fat cells are selected, processed to the desired consistency, and injected into the breasts.

    • Adds moderate volume depending on the breast base width.

    • Advantages: most natural feel, minimal scarring (only 1–2 mm), no implants.

Choosing the Right Clinic

Before deciding where to have your breast augmentation, consider these factors to avoid unsafe or low-quality clinics:

  • The surgeon must be a certified plastic surgeon.

  • Clinic and surgeon credibility.

  • Operating rooms must meet medical safety standards.

  • Anesthetics must be administered by a licensed anesthesiologist.

  • Up-to-date medical equipment that meets safety standards.

  • Aftercare services provided post-surgery.

  • Reasonable pricing—not suspiciously cheap.

  • Plenty of before-and-after results and patient reviews available.

Pre-Surgery Preparation

  • Sleep at least 8 hours before surgery.

  • Avoid food and drink for at least 8 hours prior.

  • Remove nail polish and trim nails to about 1 cm.

  • Remove all jewelry and dentures.

  • Inform your surgeon of any loose teeth.

  • Wear loose, dark-colored, comfortable clothing.

  • Bring a family member or friend (do not go home alone).

Post-Surgery Care

  • Wear a support bra regularly to prevent implant shifting.

  • Massage breasts as advised by the surgeon (case-specific).

  • Take all prescribed medications until finished.

  • Attend all aftercare appointments.

  • Sleep on your back with your head elevated.

  • Avoid sleeping on your side or stomach.

  • Avoid strenuous arm movements and exercise initially.

  • Avoid raw seafood, unclean foods, and certain allergenic foods.

  • No alcohol or smoking during the recovery period.
